Galaxy Highways is a story-driven, top-down space shooter developed by Nanopike that delivers intense, adrenaline-fueled action wrapped in a charming retro pixel-art aesthetic. The game successfully captures the feel of classic arcade shooters while incorporating modern progression and RPG elements.

The setting is a distant future where humanity, after disastrous encounters with hostile alien forces known as the Mantis species, has been forced to retreat to the edge of the galaxy, establishing the Last Hope colony. The player takes on the role of a skilled pilot in the special forces, tasked with undertaking dangerous missions to protect the colony, strike back against the alien threat, and secure resources crucial for humanity's survival.

Fast-Paced Combat and Mission Variety

The core of the gameplay is high-stakes space combat. As a twin-stick-style shooter, players control their ship's movement and firing direction independently, navigating chaotic battlefields filled with escalating waves of enemy ships, space stations, and massive bosses.

Furthermore, a unique Docks and Battleship system serves as the permanent upgrade hub.
