This suicide mission aims to reach the source of the chaos—the White Tower—to perform a ritual that can potentially stop the apocalyptic Great Serpent. This path is characterized by fighting Warped enemies (mutated, more powerful versions of familiar foes) and navigating a surreal, collapsing environment.

Gameplay Changes: Doom Clock and Wave Battles

• Wave Battles: Many battles are now wave-based. After defeating an initial enemy wave, the player has the choice to continue fighting another, harder wave for greater rewards (Renown and high-tier items) or to retreat. Fighting on is risky, as heroes do not recover health or armor between waves, but necessary to keep up with the rising difficulty.

• Heroic Titles: Characters who reach the max level can be further upgraded with unique Heroic Titles, offering powerful, one-time-per-game bonuses that significantly specialize their combat role, encouraging players to utilize their full, imported roster of survivors.

The Bittersweet End

The final act culminates in Iver reaching the White Tower and confronting Eyvind, who struggles with the moral cost of the ritual—sealing his lover, Juno, in the sun to save the world.

The ending is determined by a series of dialogue choices made by Iver in this final conversation and the success of the Arberrang defense.
