Vincemus - Air Combat is an arcade semi-realistic air combat shooter set in the theaters of World War II. Developed and published by Virtual Convict, the game aims to strike a balance between the accessibility of an arcade title and the depth of a simulation, offering a focused experience primarily designed for mouse controls on Windows and macOS platforms. After a period in Early Access beginning in April 2022, the full version was released on December 20, 2024.

Core Gameplay and Setting

The game immerses the player in large, expansive maps across three major theaters of war:

The campaign is mission-driven, placing the player in varied combat scenarios that test different piloting skills. • Weaponry and Payloads: Players can modify the weapons loadout and payloads, making strategic choices—for instance, equipping heavy cannons for "Boom and Zoom" tactics, or carrying bombs/rockets for ground-pounding missions.

• Combat Effectiveness: In addition to physical changes, players can upgrade the aircraft's overall combat effectiveness based on their performance in missions, encouraging a tailored approach to flying.

The game's user interface is designed to provide clear details on the aircraft, weapons, and payloads, offering insight into what combination is best suited for countering different threats.

While labeled as an "arcade" shooter, Vincemus incorporates elements of realism in its physics and mechanics.
