This collection would allow players to experience the complete saga of Linda Meilinda, the high school student with the terrifying gift of sensing and battling spirits:

1. DreadOut Remastered (The Original Nightmare): This chapter focuses on linear, atmospheric horror. Linda and her classmates get lost during a school trip, leading them to an abandoned town and school where they are hunted by vengeful ghosts.

   • Core Mechanic: Pure Fatal Frame-style combat, where the only defense is Linda’s smartphone camera. Players must use the flash to temporarily banish spirits, relying entirely on defensive positioning and timing.

2. DreadOut 2 Remastered (The Expanding World): This chapter broadens the scope, following Linda as she deals with the lingering curse from the first game, engaging in a larger conflict against powerful spirits like the Blorong.

   • Core Mechanic: Introduces a semi-open-world hub (Linda's hometown) and adds physical melee combat alongside the camera-based encounters, forcing players to adapt to both tangible and ethereal threats.

Remastered Enhancements

The "Remastered" aspect of the collection would focus on critical improvements to ensure a smooth and visually modern experience:

• Unified Visuals: While DreadOut 2 was a graphical leap, the original game would receive a major visual overhaul, updating character models, environment textures, and lighting to match the sequel’s fidelity. This ensures a consistent look and atmosphere across both titles.

• Smoother Controls: The original DreadOut was often criticized for clunky movement. The collection would implement refined control schemes, better camera handling, and more fluid character animation, especially for the crucial camera-snapping mechanic.
