Base Management and Psychological Toll

The core gameplay loop is divided between managing your shelter and risky scavenging runs:

• Shelter Management: Players must establish and upgrade various temporary refuges to house their survivors. Every night, the shelter's barricades are attacked by the encroaching horde, and maintaining these defenses is critical. Resources are spent to construct workbenches, beds, and kitchens to keep the group functioning.
