ShapeHero Factory is an indie strategy game that ingeniously fuses the intricate factory simulation genre (like Factorio), the punishing progression of a roguelite, and the defensive requirements of tower defense. The primary objective is not to fight directly, but to build the optimal production line to constantly manufacture heroes who will automatically defend your Portal against endless, increasingly difficult waves of enemies.

Core Gameplay Loop: Build, Fight, Upgrade

1. 1. Preparation (Factory) Phase: This is where the factory simulation takes center stage. You spend Mana to place production structures like Minions, Conveyor Belts, and Canvases on your Scroll (the factory floor).

      • Hero Creation: Heroes are created by combining basic shapes (circles, triangles, squares) using the conveyor belt system. For example, a simple circle and a triangle might produce a Soldier, while a circle and a square might create a Tank.

      • Automation is Key: The challenge lies in designing an efficient, automated production line that sources raw materials, processes them into shapes, and transports the finished heroes into a randomly generated Portal on the Scroll to be deployed for battle.

2. Battle (Defense) Phase: Your produced heroes are teleported to a battlefield to defend a central Gate from waves of monstrous shadow enemies.

   • Auto-Battler: Crucially, the heroes fight on their own. The player's influence here is limited to manual clicks that deal minor damage (depending on the chosen "Master" or playable character). The fate of the battle is determined by the efficiency and quality of the factory you built in the preparation phase.

Roguelite Elements and Customization

ShapeHero Factory incorporates roguelite mechanics to ensure high replayability:

• Incursion Route: After defeating a wave or boss, you follow an Incursion Route, choosing between various rewards like powerful magical artifacts, new Research Trees (to unlock new production structures and unit upgrades), and resources. These choices define your temporary build for the current run.

• Permadeath & Meta-Progression: Being defeated wipes your current factory setup and run-specific upgrades. However, you earn Arcane Knowledge (permanent upgrades) between runs, allowing you to continually improve your starting conditions and build strategies for the next run.

• Masters: Different playable characters ("Masters") offer unique starting heroes and build strategies, further encouraging experimentation and adaptation.
