Together, they discover that the murder is linked to an ancient, powerful organization: the Knights Templar. The victim, Pierre Carchon, was secretly a collector of Templar artifacts, and the bomb was an attempt to steal a crucial manuscript.

Their global odyssey takes them from the sewers of Paris to a sprawling estate in Spain, an archaeological dig in Syria, and a medieval fortress in Ireland. George and Nico encounter a colorful cast of characters, ranging from eccentric archaeologists and secretive priests to ruthless assassins. They follow a trail of clues—including cryptic poems, ancient symbols, and medieval maps—that detail the hidden treasure and immense power of the resurrected Templar Order.

The central antagonists are revealed to be a modern-day faction of the Templars led by the mysterious Great Master. This group, fueled by a desire for global control, seeks to reclaim a terrifying artifact linked to a great power source, which they believe will usher in a new world order.

The 'Reforged' edition enhances the original experience with higher-resolution visuals, new animated sequences, and a revised interface. Crucially, it adds exclusive content focusing on Nico Collard’s perspective, filling in background details and enriching the main narrative.

In the climax, George and Nico manage to infiltrate the Templar stronghold, often a hidden chamber beneath an ancient castle. They successfully prevent the Templars from seizing the artifact and deploying its devastating power.
